Crank Case Venting System

Anyone using a modded system on their car? What are the benifits and do I need one? I noticed when I took my turbo intake pipe off the other day there was some surplus oil inside the pipe and some oil over where the MAF is

£13 doesnt sound right Plus I think th eset up will prevent you from fitting the engine cover It gets in the way of the from securing point perhaps

You got a point there about the cover...but the kit does look nice too.

I have a homemade one from plumbing fittings, which is fixed to the oilfilter to keep it warm and minimise sludge, only problem is capacity, it's only good for about 10K before empting. It collects at approx the same rate as a MANN Provent 20mls/1000 miles. Contrary to earlier belief you cannot get them inB&Q they are special order cost about £15

thats a nice link shaun , what about a provent system , seems to bolt onto the engine pretty easily , i pondered on of these a while back to prevent the clogging issue but i just blanked off the egr vacuum line instead ,

whats import duty these days lol

Dunno, but my mates out in the statesin December Jsut cant decide what I want him to bring back I'm going to have a look at the provent system - again being a picky get I'd like it to look OEM ish

I'll see if I can find some. The provent should be available over here if you have room to fit it, MANN HUMMEL the filter folks must have a main agent over here
