btw I did see some low compression pistons for sale somewhere, interested?

Full mods are -

Prototype "PD160" Air intake (quite a bit bigger than a normal PD160....
Full stainless exhaust, decatted.
Green panel filter.
Stage 2 Turbo Dynamics Hybrid
Forge FMIC
Awesome Gti Custom Remap.

Bit smoky at the moment, but a faulty injector and a boost leak wont be helping........

impressive bhp,
but would have thought the torque would have been higher and peaked lower down between 2000 & 2500rpm :shrug:

No - the higher BHP diesels always seem to have the torque nice and high which makes them buzzing machines to drive, Mine peaks in a similar place to Dave's, and it holds it at peak for about 500rpm. Very similar graphs, which shows both cars are setup well.

Well, John, the car was in Blackpool. Not looking as good as when you had it I'm afraid. The lad said the turbo went, so he popped a bigger one on, but it didn't go as well either. Re pistons - cheers, but I think you missed the later part of the thread. Car is up and running again now ta :)

@air - peak power is higher because of the nature of the turbo, and the fact it has an intercoler. Also to do with the fact - thats pretty much wher I wanted it :) Bit of a handful in the Fabia chassis when 330 ft lbs kicks in so low down, most of it gets wasted in traction loss.


@:Turkish - I only know it asks for 2.0 bar of boost. No idea what the constant is, I suspect around 1.8 bar.
