Good Luck - I'll be watching to see how this one turns out !

Plenty of MKV Golf owners have had the Monza IIs replaced for blistering lacquer, absolutely no problems - I don't understand why they're being so funny with you, they'll just claim the money back off SEAT. Strange?

Just spoke with the service manager and he is still staying i have damaged the alloys where the corrosion has started, i told him i dont agree so they will look at them again when the car goes in for a new airbag, as regards to the boot the car will go to there bodyshop who will write up a report for Seat UK and then see what they say about it

I forgot to mention my front lights are misting up aswell, only noticed last night, is this due to the cold weather???

I have pics of the alloys but they are in a PDF file, anybody know how to remove them from the PDF and save them separatly so i can show you what i mean??

Can't you jusy copy and paste the image out of a PDF?

If not do a print screen then use Paint or something similar to cut out just the picture that you want.

Could you not try another dealer regarding the wheels?

Im surprised at them only looking £130 for a rim... i managed to kerb one of my andromeda rims off a roundabout because i was stupidly too busy with my phone and when i ordered a new one and collected it the bill was a heafty £217... it will teach me. on the up side, i now have a proper sized spare wheel should i ever need it.

When I pickd mine up it was second hand and the stealer never told me it had had a new engine in so i thought it was run in when it wasnt, and 2 weeks later if was knocking like a b**ch because they hadnt done the oil!!!
Hope mine dont do that I got mine powdercoated!

No looked like its damaged underneath the surface of the wheel not the surface like it would be if it was kerbed. No scrapes associated wiv kerbage either!!! Come to think of it one of mine was like that before I got them powdercoated :-o

Good luck with this mate.

I got the same response about my wheels when I wanted mine done under warranty. The Service Manager from Skoda :)w4nk:) who is the overall Service Manager for SEAT and Skoda went out and took photos of the kerbing to show SEAT rather than the fault with the wheel itself.

The Service Manager at SEAT is now a lass and while being very nice and personable everything is done absolutely by the book, no give or take. Don't expect any kind of favour as you wont get.

Total shower of useless :w4nk: in that place. No way I would ever buy from them again.

Unfortunately they look exactly like my wheels that were kerbed, so I would think it would be difficult to prove whether or not is was a fault.

Reading this post just brings back nightmates of when I had my SEAT, constant arguing with the dealer to get anything sorted.

I agree - no scraping marks like you would expect to see - if they had been kerbed.
Phil's right - proving it is a different matter...

Really feeling for you - been following the thread with interest. Your dealer sounds pretty unsympathetic but its worth remembering that the decision on almost every warranty complaint lies with SEAT. Dealers are afraid to do anything as chances are SEAT wont pay for the claim. Doesnt excuse 'attitude' by any means but try and get your dealer on your side - it helps :)
Re the headlamps, read my post ;)

So i might have another battle on my hands to get new headlights?????

I have had one answer from Service manager, pay £260 and get both alloys replaced and hope that Seat will reimburse me!!! No thanks im not being left out of pocket if they decide against it.

headlights should be easier than wheels as at least you cant be 'accused' of damaging them yourself . . . its a known issue but SEAT wont pay until they get to a certain degree of water ingress. thats what my argument was about but i got the result fairly quickly after a bit of shouting [:@]

You could get them re-finished for less than that bud. Not ideal, but cheaper than paying for new wheels out your own pocket.
