Coilover Question

My AP's are pretty good ride quality. I'd say similar to an OEM sports setup in the firmness/comfort, but with adjustable height. Setup with a Whiteline RARB and Forge Front Strut Brace and handling is pretty good.

good to hear I have Seat sport front strut brace and Whiteline rear ARB which I found made a big difference to handling. I do nto want uncomfortable s as I really do not like hte FR ride standard very harsh unforgiving and bouncy i find myself avoid drain covers and lumps more than most people!

Yes I would rather spend a bit more like yourself I do want the car lower and realise alot of kits seem to not lower the ridiculously high arse of the ibiza enough. But am not fussed about it being on the floor as I live on a farm and have to drive over a cattle grid every time I leave my house and there is the worlds biggest speed hump at my local Tesco i go to ever 2 weeks!
I will NOT buy FK, hot tuning as seen scary pics of things breaking on here and hot tuning are just cheap and the materials not good quality. No one at my local meets seems to have a lowered FR!lol Every thread I search for everyone just harps on about how low it goes not much about the ride but I will keep searching. Do some more posts and you can post p on here!

to be far, if u only want a moderate drop, any coil over would do, just down to personal preference once again, where i live theres a speed bump at the entrance of my road and i can still just about get over it! what size wheels are you running, as im only on a 16" with a 40 profile tyre so clearance really is next to none, the lowest point is the front sub frame and iv got just under 2cm of clearance, so most drains or pots give a nice sound effect for me, and every one out side normally change there pants too!
people tend to lower a car for its looks rather then drivablilty, so your response will always be how low its drops, mine are really stiff, but the lower you go they do stiffen slighty

The KW coilover family prices at the moments are...

AP: £365.75 inc. postage
Weitec: £390.39 inc. postage
KW V1: £657.12 inc. postage

Quite a big jump up from the AP and Weitec to the KW but the KW do have stainless steel bodies.

My wheels are 17s, gonna go see where the car site on the cattle grid actually see how bad it is!
Yes the corrosion is what I am thinking about as well as seen some pics on here of cheap corroded coilovers!
Hmmm very pricey thou KWs as you say jump up! I have a price in my head of about £500 to spend on them as got to pay someone to fit and align afterwards. I will take note of the prices cheers for that and obviously will shop about a bit first though but gonna buy some asap now before xmas gets too close!

Hi Aimez
We have sold SHED loads of the AP`s
No issues at all with them
With AP being made under the same ownership as Wietic and KW , I dont think they would ever make anything rubbish
Ride quality with AP`s we have heard NOTHING but great reports
So dont let anyone tell you that they are rubbish , as they are definately not
I think AP as a make are one of the fastest selling makes that we have ever seen here
As they are quality made , TUV approved and come with a 2 year warranty

Yes , AP`s are good
But the price that they are now for Weitec`s as Aimez said , has to bring a slight question
The thing is with KW , AP and weitec , they all have a retail price , and discounts is something that is not allowed
So prices will be all the same really
And with them being on offer , no more discounts....but hey
It means that where ever you go the prices will be the same really.......
Hope that helps a bit too?

That is reassuring actually can't find many people who have them on long as most people get bored and flog the car unlike me!

As for similar prices yes they are not that different you are right but not when you add postage on everyone charges different amounts, I usually go round all the websites put them in the cart then see the price after VAT and postage for a real price!
If it saves me even a fiver it will help out as I have now got to pay someone to fit them and do the alignment.:(

AP's are next on my list as the have had positive feedback from user on here, and the quality and price seems good.

Not looking for a massive drop as the roads by me are shocking, but want an improvemnt in handling, ride qulaity and looks so it seems like the sensibly choice.

Any advise is welcome on this as there seems to be loads of info out there and but none specific
