Hmm I know what you mean, but it's fine for the moment. SRP, Extra Gloss Protection and HD wax. Shiny for ages :)

Doubting my future with cars at the moment... If I go to Uni I will most likely sell my car before I go, then not buy one again till I leave. No point having mine sit at home for 3 months at a time..

Okay, just got the Beeza back from the MOT centre... MOT was about £44.50 so not TOO bad.

Got charged £40 to 'refit' a bulb after the beam wasn't aligned properly. However upon inspection it doesn't look like the bulb was touched, since I fitted it last night and has not moved...! A bit annoyed at this...

They didn't quite like my white LED number plate lights, however they couldn't fail me for it

Also had them replace a split brake servo pipe (£65 later!!!)

However I also got an advisory -

"Rear mounting bushes on the front suspension arms are splitting and require replacement - £184.87"

I guess this is a good chance to upgrade to Cupra bushes! I know they are about £20 for the pair, however does anyone reckon I can get this done any cheaper than £160ish?! I think an indy garage may be better to save my pocket...

Today cost me a grand freakin' total of £161.63. :ban:

Got ya! Will get a quote from an independent garage, as a friend on SCN has been quoted £50 to be fitted!

Win!
I did notice a diffrence in handling after they where chnaged, however I do get more engine vibration now in the lower revs, like if I pull away at low speed in 2nd instead of 1st.
Also get you tracking/aligment done after you change them as it is most likely out.... mine was.

There's no point doing the front wishbone bushes unless they are worn out, it doesn't matter whether you have a 1.2 or a Cupra, the front wishbone bushes are the same. It's the front wishbone REAR bushes that are different on Cupras. :)

To be honest, I don't believe any garage is going to do the rear wishbone bushes for £50, it's a lot of work and you need to have tracking done afterwards which is £20 on it's own. Put it this way, if you asked me to do your wishbone bushes tomorrow it would be £150 labour.

Stezo had his wishbone bushes changed for £150 which is as good a price as you will get IMO. I don't know if that was inclusive of tracking or not.

the main reason i have a quote of £50 to fit them is because i have spent so much with the garage already and he knows he is the 1st person I normally go to

Haha okay. I'll ring round the local garages this week to check prices.

After getting through my MOT yesterday, I fitted the ol' LED sidelights and 5k HIDs again. Much easier the second time! :)

Shame the garage left greasy hand marks on the panels....

In the sunlight, all my panels seem to have like 'grease' marks. I guess this is from my wax, from not buffering it off hard enough? Next time I clean it I'll go over with a clean microfiber to try and get as much off as possible!

got a response from Sere Motors, £22 (inc p+p) for 16mm ARB bushes & Cupra front wishbone rear bushes (ive only just got my head around what they are called ). Going to ring that silver ibiza on ebay with all parts breaking now & also my paint bloke :)
