cherry bomb ??

my friend has just ordered a cherry bomb exhaust box for his car ? does anybody know what this is ? he says he only paid £30 for it and he says it sounds alright?

I'm showing my age here but the last time I heard the cherry bomb was the 'kin loud back box (it was more a short tube than box) available for the boys racers of the time in their Mk3 Escorts.

Didn't know they were still going TBH. They used to be the budget end and seems they still are at £30.:rofl:

They were generally regarded as the crap end of the exhaust market, made very cheap and very loud with zero if not negative performance effects.

Very oldskool lol it will sound like somebody with the trots shitting down a drainpipe :lol: My mate had one on his old Mk1 clio.... properly loud and sounded like feck all squared, don't do it

I wouldn't even pay £35 for one :lol: they'd need to pay me way more than £35 to fit one to my car!!!! I remember them being popular amongst the Nova enthusiasts along with Ashley backboxes back in the day. No silencing in them at all really, you'd be better welding a length of schaffolding pipe to the back of the car ffs :lol:

Hahahaha I had one of these on my first golf!!!! bloody hell that was years ago. made alot of noise without much go!!! You would be better off just not having an exhaust - prob quieter as well lol
