My uncles getting shot of his R plate 1.4sxe soon, stupid low miles but its got the usual rust and the odd ding here and there. If I coud get it cheap enough would it be worth having or is there to much work to get it up to scratch? Thinking the 1.4 would be a good starting lump for the odd trackday and sprint/hill climb.
I may be able to make a few quid from it, interior etc. is mint

I could enter it in the 1400cc class if i ever started to do abit of sprinting. Im sure you can get 90+bhp out of the lump, strip it bare with some sticky tires and it should be a hoot to drive. At a later date when my skills have improved, drop a new lump in. Still havnt cleared my garage to accomadate it

Are you sure I cant tempt you with a mk5 escort n/s door? A 90 spec spoiler? Some celica alloys maybe?? 
ill drop an engine in it, abf's are pretty cheap or go for it 20vt ... putting a G60 in my mk2 golf easter weekend. i got the skills lol
