Reviving an old post; I'm changing my screw-in seats in the inlet manifold but can't find a tool big enough to do it??

Looks like it needs a ~20mm allen?

Has anyone else done these lately and if so what with/how?

Ive got a sneaky feeling its a 19mm allen key you need Robbie. Just be careful removing the old seats as they are prone to shattering when you undo them. Your probably best off using a 19mm hex bit to use on a rachet although i just made do with a normal allen key. Also you might find the old seats unscrew easier if you run the car before hand to warm the inlet manifold up.

EDIT: Be careful not to cross-thread the new ones when screwing them back in as this is easily done.

Cheers Ollie. The old ones were taken out in one piece when I had the inlet mani powder coated last week and they look to be OK but I've already got some new ones on order as I hear theses are prone to leaking boost.

I'll be using some silicone sealant to help put them back in which I bought to seal my baffled sump on

they do need sealing.

do a boost test after

find a19mm headed bolt.fill the shank up with nuts and tighten them.then use a 19mm socket and ratch on thenuts and use the head of the bolt in the injector seats to undo them

I think someone ssaid you can just use some PTFE tape. One of my injectors is leaking, the guy who had it before me swopped them for TT injectors i think, could this be the reason why my pressure gauge is showing -30 when idling?
