changing air filter

Ive jus ordered a K&N FilterCharger® Replacement Air Filter for my car and i need to change it bt im woundering how to get into the box that's holding my airfilter. its an 2007 1.4 formula sport. der is screw's on the underside of the box bt ders has gotta be an easier way, do you to the air box out first den unscrew the screw's to take it out and replace it? if so how?. can any1 help??

It unscres from the top, the lid comes off then you take out the old one, pop in the new one, takes 5 mins tops...

yea 5 min job aslong as you dont have a strut brace :doh: hahaha as adlav said undo the screws and it comes staright off

i found out! ya pop off the housing that holds the airfilter and intake! then you turn it over to unscrew the screws where the airfilter is housed(12 of them). then you can replace it with the other filter.

by the way ad lav and mikey the 1.4's have the air filter inside the engine cover... not every1 on here drives derv's ;) whittle123 congrats in finding out yourself mate you put the rubber breather pipe back on didt you? what replacment filter did you use for the 100bhp engine then?
