Changed DV, PCV & cam follower. PCV was really gunked up!

So I was pretty busy this weekend!

First of all I changed my DV for a revision G. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the existing DV, but as I bought the car last month on 88k, and there were no receipts to show it had been changed previously, I thought I may as well. Took me a while, I was working under the car on axle stands so space was tight, and I had to use an Allen key for 2 of the bolts. They were tight all the way out, I think they had thread lock on? Anyway, all done, took about 2 hours though!

Next up, PCV, gasket and cam follower. This wasn't too bad, my car was registered in Jan 2007 so I thought it may have the banjo bolt. Turns out it didn't, and I was able to pull the HPFP away without undoing the hose that is there instead of the banjo.

My cam follower was fairly worn, but the concerning part was the amount of yellow gunk inside the PCV and around the orange gasket. I fished loads out (photo only shows a sample) with an Allen key, before replacing both. I had a minor service done a few weeks ago, plus cambelt & waterpump, so I'm hoping this gunk doesn't reform indicating more serious issues?

I didn't manage to fit my Zaustworx resonator delete pipe sadly (the actual part I was excited to see the result of), as the nuts on the centre section were too badly corroded to get it apart with the tools I had. Hopefully a local exhaust place can help.
