my car is dead.

Driving around earlier NO Bother with th car at all, no noises, no smoking, no overheating

Anyway....

Parked up at my mates for a bit, then got back in the car to go leave and my car wouldnt start....sounded like when an engines flooded. anyway my mate had a look, took of my air filter box cover and there was all this CRAP on it..looked like baileys..when my mate checked..was petrol and oil together and checked the pipes around the carb are all blocked too with this crap.

i checked oil straight away, no change,
I checked oil level, normal,
i checked coolant, no oil in it

any ideas

1.4 8v btw

The small pipe into the air box is the oil breather pipe, disconnect it and put a small cone filter on the end will solve the problem. Its another crap MK2 design.

That or keep the car fully serviced and the airbox cleaned out regularly.
