Candy white paint

Hey. Painting my jacking covers as I managed to loose one on a wee road trip does anyone know if the halfords candy white Volkswagen paint is a good match? Heard some people say on other colours it has been good bt not heard about the white

Sorry can't help with the Halfrauds paint.

Once painted drill holes and loop a cable tie through to stop them going missing.

It looks a bit naff if you're on the floor looking up but how often do you do that?

the halfords paint is a good match m8,

Don't be suprised if the paint isn't 100% match, my local bodyshop knows of at least 4 or 5 variants of Candy white.

We now know that mine is LB9A, and shade 1 according to my paint supplier !!!

My Candy white is not quite white white if you get my meaning. Talking to MV repair chaps here they reckon that if you want an exact match you have to go to a body shop and get it mixed. Some Halfrauds do offer a custom mixing service, but I have no experience of this.

Found the reverse when I used it to touch up my car. The original paint was more cream and the VW Candy White 'whiter'.

Sound like it just depends on the mood the guy who mixes it is in that day. I will give it a shot and if it doesn't match then will go get some made up. Cheers guys
