I retrofitted it myself. But that's the PQ platform... the ABS control units of the pure mqb platform no longer have an input for it; it only happens virtually.

Earlier MK3 Leons used an ABS control unit with a 38-pin connector and it had an input for tyre pressure button at pin 20.
Later it was replaced with a 46-pin connector and that possibility have gone.
Unfortunately the unit in question here is the 46-pin one, I believe. @Paris

I think the right question before that is, what do I have as an ABS pump ? and so 38 pins or not ?

Through a quick search on some used car parts sites, one may conclude that the ABS control units with the same part number as yours look like they have the 46-pin connector. And your car is an Ateca, a model which was debuted in 2016, probably never had the 38-pin one that was used in early MQB cars like Leon from 2013 or 2014. An official servicing manual which includes wiring diagrams would have the final say on this but I believe that's not needed here. Another way of being sure if you still have doubts is to disconnect the connector from the ABS control unit and count the pins.

A follow-up for @Paris

I have news that might give some hope to you.
I searched for information on Golf 7/7.5 wiring diagrams as it is basically the same car as Leon/Ateca, using the same electronics etc.
It seems that they were still using the TPMS button on Golfs equipped with 46-pin ABS units.
The connection shown by the related wiring diagram is from the button to pin 34 at ABS unit (button also needs a 12V connection).
But also somebody in a forum who retrofitted the TPMS button in their Golf says it's pin 41, as it's shown in the second photo below.
You can check out that forum posts at
If you really need to do this retrofit, this new information is worth looking into, I believe.
But take it with some pinch of salt, do your own research on whether it's pin 34 or pin 41 and proceed with your own responsibility.

Cheers,
Serdar

The problem is that the firmware/Data set probably doesn't support it. I haven't found an option in the pre-facelift version To Set a Hardware Button aktiv. Byte 28 Bit07 is the BAP button for storing tire pressure OK, i.e., the virtual button. Byte 27 Bit 04-06 is the tire pressure control setting.

Those are for 29-byte versions, I guess?

As for the 46-byte version, I don't know about other platforms but OBD11 doesn't even have byte/bit descriptions, so god knows where they are or even if they exist to begin with.

This is für Conti MK100

46 Byte ist Conti MK100IPB
Do you have descriptions for all the bits of all the bytes? For 29 and 46 each? I'm asking out of curiosity because ABS is one of the weakest in OBD11 regarding descriptions of long-coding items. I don't know about other diagnostics tools though, but if there were publicly known information, it would already be entered into OBD11 by now.

With OBD11, the declaration may become visible if you press the bit for a longer time. This is always the case if the information is not verified... Yes, mk100 and mk100ipb should be fully itemized in my documentation.

It didn't work in my setup. Android, ABS units of three different cars, a 2013 Golf, a 2018 Leon, a 2025 Cupra Ateca. Golf's 29 bytes have some descriptions but almost none in Leon & Ateca's 46 bytes, none became visible on longer press.

Paris (french)
hi,
this forum is really excellent! even question asked in my French forum no serious answer!

for now I settle the problems , if problem p deflated, with VCDS
because I recall, I dismantled my MIB2 for a Chinese multimedia (which I do not regret! )
and even if I had kept my MIB2, I read on a German forum (I think) that a pesonne had lost the display of its screen MIB2,' and in this case also no more possibility to make a reset deflated tire!
it’s amazing that the engineers of VW/Seat isn’t thinking about that? , in short
I will carefully study this very valuable and latest information
as I return from travel (work).
thanks again
