Hi guys,

Been looking for any info about this as i'm worried mine wont come with them fitted now. They are listed as standard on Listers website on Cupra and Cupra black.

listers.co.uk/New/Cars/SEAT/Leon/2.0_TSI_Cupra_Black_290/74508

Good find mate and thanks to everyone else who made suggestions. This is now in the hands of the sales guy who I did the deal with in the first place. I've presented the evidence and he will speak to the supplier again. I'm hopeful they will provide the mats just to get me off their case :cartman:

Update lads. The broker guy has got back to me, leased a few cars off him so we have a good relationship. He has been back and forth with the dealer (with the evidence and links I sent him) who for info purposes is Sytner North Wales.

They have reached the conclusion that it is not a standard item although do concede the brochure/price list does not make it clear either way if it is or isn't standard. Their final position is they are a dealer fitted option at x amount of cost. Their opinion is they would not give a customer these mats unless specfically added to the order.

My broker agrees with my view on it and did his best to steer them towards them giving me a set but they wouldn't budge. I do believe they would no doubt throw them in for a walk in customer but anyway.

So remaining options are to take it further with Seat customer services or just buy a set. We'll see...

Call customer service. No car in this price bracket should come without a few bits of carpet cutoff.

Hopefully yours comes with mats, so that Lazybill can go back and ask why they are picking and choosing who gets them

Hey Bill,

If you check your new reg on DVLA does it know the car yet? just wondering how soon after they register and tax it that it comes up........

Same question from me, dealer called yesterday and gave me the new reg. DVLA reg check doesn't recognize it yet....I assume, as per everything DVLA, that it is a form being posted to them?

DVLA took ages to recognise my car so yeah I'd say your assumptions are correct which means insurance has to be done over the phone in some cases as online forms may not find the existence of the car

I have mats that came with mine and in all honesty they are terrible quality
We bought some mats for my partners car on ebay for £12.99 with fitting clips which matched
And I would say there better quality worth a call to seat but otherwise I'd say not worth
The years of your life

Collected mine today and loving it so far! Picked it up from Lookers Stockport on the way back from a work trip - I know some people have travelled far to collect but I doubt many were as far away as Stavanger!

I was missing some wheel nut caps which the Carly hadn't seen but instantly sorted. I actually think they're just poorly designed & prone to falling off

Some people were asking about mats - mine had hem but not with a Cupra logo. Not sure if that's normal?

Sensible drive home followed by a brief bit of pushing it. Loving the available power & the sound simulator thing isn't as annoying as some people made out

Only minor gripe us the clutch pedal valve thing which I guess is there to prevent any botched gear changes or unwanted wheel spin...in any of the 6 gears!

Very happy overall

Dvla take about 2 days to register your car. I had the same concern even after they delivered it. I was afraid it might've not been taxed/registered but that normally happens on the day of delivery, so you will only find it once it's been taxed and up to 2 days from then

My mats have the cupra logo on a label that sticks out of the side. They are also fixed and clip into place. Totally agree with the clutch, drives me mad. Could change gear really fast in my focus ST now there is always a delay.

To conclude the carpet mat saga if anyone still cares lol.

Been on the phone to Seat Customer Services, they have confirmed the mats are not standard and if you have been given them without asking it would have been at dealer discretion. So I can order a 'UK sourced' set (presume this is just a generic leon set) or 'factory sourced' set (presume these are the Cupra logo ones). £40 or £80 ish.

If your car comes from North Wales Seat (Sytner group) with mats then you are one of the lucky ones.

Bit annoying but not a huge deal really
