Good time yesterday despite the "sunny intervals". We accepted Hannahs offer and went back to see the YRC team after the last race and then coasted out the back way in less than two minutes, only to get overtaken by Hairy as we rejoined the A43 at Brackley.
YRC HAD chosen full rain tyres (as we suspected) as a gamble on a final downpour during the race. Breeze had opted for the same strategy and was good naturedly blaming Fulvio for persuading him it was a good idea
As he has little to lose in the championship Fulvio came in to change tyres just to keep it interesting and hopefully get some extra TV coverage (he knows his media-craft) which is the name of the game at this stage. Lessons learned for the future I'm sure.
They were all in surprisingly good spirits and looking at the positives of the weekend and strategy for next year
Big thanks to the team for making the time to talk to us and for the signed piece of Gizmo as a souvenir. Now proudly in our garage with the Porsche tyre and part of Tordoff's Clio. Mrs Brief is so pleased
