Depends on model I saw a post a few months back that explained but most are near side rear, also there are 3 nipples in the engine bay the 2 on the reservoir I think the furthest back first. Haha I don't know but I'll be doing it this week
Did you follow any guides for the pipes ? I need to change my caliper and I'm not sure how one would stop the brake fluid falling out?
On any RHD mk4 golf based car the caliper with the longest pipe routing is always the o/s/r as the master cylinder is on the o/s/f, the pipes then run across the bulkhead and under the passenger floor pan, the o/s/r then splits off over the fuel tank, the n/s/r just goes to the axle flexi - so the o/s/r has about 3 more foot of distance to travel.
This is the same for ibizas, arosas, alteas in fact almost any RHD VW group vehicle.
There are 2 bleed nipples associated with the brakes yes, both on the master cyclinder - the other is on the clutch slave cylinder and has no bearing on the brake system at all.
Crack open the bleed nipple on the caliper you're replacing then depress the brake pedal, once depressed use something to hold it down and whilst its held down it will not allow any more fluis through. Or buy a flexi clamp.
