Its always the same with SEAT dealers they are great when you go with the 15 grand to buy a car...they not so great when you go back...I had no end of trouble from SEAT Premier in Stoke to the point i also rang SEAT UK (might aswell not bothered) so i took it to LC charles and they have been great...
Let us know how youu get on with SEAT UK
That's what annoyed me, i opted to spend about a grand more than i neaded to and bought from a dealer which i would never normally do.

I went through a dealer to ensure that A) i was buying and "approved" Seat car and B) that there would be good aftersales service.

I've learnt the hard way that was a big mistake, i wish i'd of saved myself the money and hassle and bought private.

Seat UK have been great and it is only with their help and persistance that i have now got the issues being resolved as we speak.

I honestly can't describe just how bad it's all been.

I even took the car in on Monday morning for some more warranty work and was looked at with blank faces as they'd forgotten the appointment!!!!

I was basically told that it was me who'd got it wrong and was sent packing.

Luckilly Seat UK rang me later that morning to ask if my car had gone in as planned.

They had apparently spoken to the same guy in the Sevice Dept when the appointment was made three weeks ago, so that showed up more lies from L.C Charles.

Well i had it from new but IF i ever had a SEAT again i would defo buy private and have it serviced etc at a specialist.
It sounds like you had/having the same probs i had with Premier...but SEAT UK didnt do a great deal for me.
Hope it all gets sorted.

I Think LC Charles still get quite a few LCR from the boys who work at Bently, they used iirc get a new VAG car every 6 months so steady stream for dealer! LCR was a popular choice think its GTi's now!

I have to have my say about this.

I purchased my LCR from L.C.Charles about 5 or 6 months ago and have to say it has been the worse purchasing experiance i have ever had to endure.

I have been lied to and fobbed off from beginning to end, and one of the participants in this includes one of the joke "salesmen" mentioned earlier in a post!!!

The aftersales service has been nothing short of unbelievably bad to the point that i have had to invlove Seat UK to try and rectify some warranty issues that have now been outstanding for 5 months!!!

One example :
When i bought my car it was due for new rear shocks and on collection i was assured this work had been done, took the car for tracking ( which they were supposed to have done!!) and whilst on the ramp noticed no one had been anywhere near the shocks.

Then noticed the inside of front tyres was bald.....this list was endless and am still trying to get things rectified now.

I would never recommend anyone i know to use this dealer and am put off using main stealers indeffinately due the unprofessionalism displayed at L.C Charles.

Rant Over.

Can you name and shame fella???

I was told tonight that in order for them to tax my LCR they need my insurance company to send them a cover note. I presumed that they could just tax my car using Seat's own insurance policy??? Apologies if I sound stupid but whenever I have bought second hand Fords from Ford dealerships they have never requested insurance certificates etc???

Sorry to hear that Scott. I can't stand it when anything goes wrong with my car and it would just rub salt into the wounds if the dealer was taking the :censored: . I'm hoping the salesmen you mention isn't Gavin

Yeah it ain't been good, cars due to go in agin this morning!!!

As much as i'd like to, i don't think it's right to name and shame so i'll resist, besides it wasn't just the salesman who deserves a slagging!!

Al G you do have to provide your own insurance cover in order for them to tax the vehicle, standard practice i'm afraid.

I have to agree with Scottzedal as far as LC Charles go. The parts side of things is an absolute joke! ]

Plus theyre the biggest bunch of con artist ive ever met. Not so long ago they had a 'sale' where there were massive savings to be had! Id previously looked at an 05 plate LCR in plat. Strangely the 'sale' price was identical to the price on the forecourt yet i was saving £1500 at the sale  when i asked the salesmen about the pricing there was a strange silence.......!!
