Before coming over to the dark side of seat, I had an A4 cabriolet B7 with Bose. Now this system absolutely shook the car to bits, it was that loud and crisp. Fast forward to the exeo st that I'm in now and although it appears the sound system is the same I.e the sat nav head unit and Bose speakers etc, the sound just doesn't sound the same. Don't get me wrong it's loud and clear but doesn't seem to have the same punch that the A4 cabriolet had. I seem to recall in the A4 via the head unit you could turn one of the sub settings up to LOUD but in the exeo you can't. (I can't access a sub section which controls it as it just isn't there). Anyone have any views? Do I have an updated head unit sat nav as my A4 was a 2007 and the exeo is a 2012. I just assumed they were the same head unit as they look the same...

You will probably find the exeo doesnt have a rear sub
The exeo does have an updated nav unit with relation too a hd screen led back lit and 32gb card slots
There is no sub section on any of the cars ive had with factory rns-e unit , old or new version.

Mine has a sub built into the offside rear section of the boot next to the processor and the amp.

Maybe sub section wasn't the right word, in my audi in the head units SOUND options there was a option to have LOUD enabled. I usually left it on this. In the seat head unit there is no such option.

Ive had 3 different rnse unit 2x mk1s and the current mk2 one had bose the others didnt but non of them have a loudness function in sound settings
There is a hidden engineering menu which is accesible if you google rnse engineering mode and theres a loudness control in there but i dont know if it will have the desired effect
Im going too try tommorrow out of curiosity
