I have fitted new brake disks and pads prior to my MOT. The car went in for MOT 2 weeks ago and I must admit I was really nervous. Since I have known there has always been a problem getting through the emissions test. So needless to say I was all geared up for the usual problems, the fuel treatment and the 1 hour drive around to get the engine warm. However, it was in being tested and out 25 minutes later - PASSED ! no advisories either. I actually thought he was pulling my leg to begin with.

I'd had problems with the exhaust during last years MOT so was advised that I needed a new Cat. Bought a new Cat which, was fitted my a pretty dodgy garage who cut 6 inches off the pipe that connects the cat to the middle section. This resulted in a 'saggy' exhaust which, then called for me to buy a new middle section and rear silencer.

I fitted the rear and middle silencers but, couldn't work out why it wasn't all fitting in correctly so took it to an exhaust centre in Eastbourne which, for a couple of pints of beer and a box of crispy creme doughnuts fixed it. If it hadn't have been for them it wouldn't have passed emissions !

So plans for this year are ..... refurb the new wheels, get the drivers front wing resprayed, dent in the rear tailgate removed, respray front bumper and retrim doorcards. HID's are a must this year too along with cambelt and waterpump change. Might also have to get the tappets looked at.

The headlining is a pale grey, its a bit boring and now looks odd with the darker doorcards. I have a choice of things I want to do to it. The first being a black fabric with sugar skulls printed on it and the second being black vinyl with a skull pinstriped on. Really not sure. I like the 1st idea but, finding the fabric I want in the UK is proving to be a bit of a problem.

This is the fabric I want, the skulls themselves are around 3 inches in length

I can find this fabric a little easier but, I think its a bit too much colour wise,

I know they aren't everyones cup of tea but, I really like them and it would insert some colour.

I did order some new pinstriping brushes from America before the whole volcano thing but, I still haven't recieved them which, is why I am dubious about buying from America at the moment.

The door cards look really good.

Is that vinyl you have used and was it easy to do? Really need to do something with mine in the Ibiza.

Yep, I used vinyl. Start from the middle of the doorcard and then work your way outwards. Use a hairdryer to warm the vinyl and pull it as tight as you can into the recess's. Also use the contact adhesive thinly. If you use it too thick it doesn't dry and then you end up with bubbles.

Neat job, Boo!

Thanks :D Im very pleased with them. Just need to work out what to do with the handles now and then put the black plastics in.

I got the black plastics purely by luck. Bought some doorcards and bits off someone and they sent some extra bits ! I have the door pockets and the front lower doorcards, window wipers and some handles. May put them in as it looks a little odd with the grey and black combination. Still not had any luck with the fabric and am now considering tartan ... again ! Just wish I could make a decision !

Its not easy making these decisions! I have been looking for 2 years for cupra interior black plastics then found some and me and a guy of here were going to split them but the ebay seller screwed us over and only sent the headlining. I could buy from the dealer but gonna cost a fortune.
