Has anyone ever sprayed their sun visor's ?

Why are you doing it then? Are you just a bit bored of the skull theme?

I wanted something nice and bright for the headlining. Found some fabric I liked with sugar skulls on it but, could only get it imported from the States and P&P was $52 ! I managed to find someone to sell me a fat quarter and when it arrived I didn't actually like it very much - just as well.

I have spent months sending off for samples for fabric and found nothing I liked until I found the current fabric. Its bright and doesnt ressemble anything but, has all my favourite colours in it. I'm hugely inspired by the Fauves, Art Nouveau and Mexican art. I really love colour combinations that contrast so this fabric ticks all my happy boxes, its colourful and swirly. Sounds silly I know. Plus I have a set of BBS Ra wheels which, are getting coated in a contrasting colour.

I don't think the skulls would quite fit it with the current headlining. I have a spare set of visors though which, I may paint for now until I can get these off to be flocked.

Jesus will still be very much at home though

I don't think there's anything wrong with liking all that arty colourful stuff, if you like it then that's what matters. I've known a few artists and still do, my brother's done a degree in it too so what you're suggesting doesn't really sound silly or odd to me. What's flocking? Does it have anything to do with sheep?

Flocking - is nylon based particles that are adhered to a surface. Its quite hardwearing and comes in loads of colours, you used to get it alot on floral wallpaper.

Decided to paint an old set of visors black with some fexible vinyl paint. Will send them off to be flocked at some point. Headlining in and whilst its not perfect I'm not a professional but, I'm pretty pleased with the overall finish. I have some black plastics to put in but, quite like the grey accents so will leave those in.

Deffinitely unique anyway, are you doing the outside of the car in the same pattern?

Thanks, I have sent a pm but, I think I may have enquired a while back about getting my rims flocked.

Managed to get hold of somewhere in Worthing to get them flocked but, have sprayed them with a flexible vinyl spray for now. They don't look too bad

To be honest I think they look good plain it works with the busy headlining behind it.

I will be keeping them black now. Will get them sent off for flocking shortly after next weekend. Thinking a black flake flock

I was just thinking, it might be an idea to paint the surround plastic for the interior light, I don't know if you have plans for it but it looks a bit out of place I think and lets all your hard work down, just my opinion though so feel free to tell me to take a hike.

I've been using that carplan paint, the matt black comes up with a really good satin finish, I reckon that'd look pretty good, do you have a plan for it Boo?

I was going to leave it as it is as the grey provides a nice contrast. I may consider getting it flocked if it separates.
