Bocanegra

Hi I need a bit of advice please. I took a 2010 bocanegra out for a test drive but it didn't feel anywhere near as quick as my standard 2007 leon fr tdi on acceleration, should it have?

Also he offered me solutions at an apr of 14.7% this seems a bit steep what has anyone else been quoted?

Finally he tried to sell me 2 services for £99 when on seat's website if you take finance through seat it would be free on same car.

any advice would be welcomed

Accelleration would feel less as the diesel has more torque so you feel the pull but trust me the boc would run away from it, especially with a remap......... I think my apr was much less than that, about 9% but not too sure tbh mate.

thanks for quick replies guys, is 8.9% for hire purchase or personal lease? If lease why should he be quoting me such a high rate? Also he won;t move a penny on his car and only offered me £200 above bottom book on mine and it is absolutely spotless with only 27000 miles

You sure bout that?

Yeah in a standing sprint you'd get killed by the DSG. There is no way you'd get anywhere near 5.1 0-60 or without some crazy work done to you car. Dont know what the outcome would be if both car's were already rolling, i'd think the difference would be much smaller.

I have to agree, going from my leon 2.0 tdi to the Cupra all i moaned about to my girlfriend was it feels slow!

It doesn't push you into your seat. But after making type R's and other quick cars look like snails, ill think you'll find once its run in and you really give it some it will make you smile.

Oh yeah that’s a good point, they do take a bit to run in and open up. You've got less torque spread over a wider powerband, its will feel very different to the squirt and go power delivery of diesel. Its deceptive where you can look down at your Speedo after a blast and not realise you're going as fast as you are.

The revo map does give you more of the "pulled back in your seat" feeling as the map comes into its own once the turbo has spooled up (Remap has no effect on supercharger). It's a little like the v-tec kick.

Definately going for the remap, wanted a few 1000 miles on it to make sure there weren;t any niggles first.

But agree, you kinda realise your going fast when u look at the speedo and think oops. Instant :ban:

The diesel gives you that initial punch but then drops where as this keeps going!

The smooth changes of the DSG dont help as its almost like one long gear and makes the speed even more deceptive as you have no gear change break in acceleration.

Revo's are great, better mpg day to day and more smiles.. It is worse on fuel if you give it some though.. obviously.

Agrred thats the other thing that makes it feel 'slow'

Is that if in D mode you arent doing anything, even with paddles its not much.

Try putting it in manual and move the stick up and down and it may make you beleive you are doing somehting and make you think your goinga bit faster.

Getting it down to 14mpg without a revo, so a few more mpg less isnt really gonna make a big difference :)

Haha, thanks.

It does include a few minutes whilst it warmed up on the drive. Then a few long straights, and a nice few twisties, and home. That was about a £10 haha

Only 12 miles but was the first time it has really had some and have to say ran out of road whilst in 5th and had to slow for corner.

Can not beleive how quick this car actually is :-o
