Just waiting for mine to blow up and spew conrods and big end bearings on to the road! Just had updates, now sounds less like a Russian Tractor when starting up!

Apart from that gear box still rattles and it drinks oil like a tramp on Tennants!

Morden..... No mine is not a Revo dealer.

chuck I understand, there seem to be a lot of people moaning about the rattling gearbox, im not sure what can be done about it. it is more just a characteristic of these boxes then an actual problem.

Ill let you all know what its like when I get it back on Friday now :-(

They charged me £30 in the end.... I wasnt to botherd about that as they gave it a wash as well lol :)

They got another Boca there thou, Parked mine next to it and it was so noticable how low mine was lol

The other one was having a compleate engine replaced, The 4th clyinder had ware and so complression was low.

They said they checked my compression and it was ok.

Sorry to hear that mate. At least she wil get sorted but in all fairness I am gonna get shot of mine too just in case this happens to me. Have to admit my car has been ace and when I went to the dealers last week there were NO misfires recorded on the car at all. i still can't leave it to chance however, SEAT need to hurry up and bring out the new engine for these cars or I am defo gonna get the DS3R!

anyone who spends 23k on a citroen is retarded.

LOL, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I would never begrudge you for speaking your mind. I am just saying, i like the DS3R and if I had the cash I would have one, simples. I LOVE my boc though but this crap has got me wondering if it is worth all the hassle. I reckon we will know about engines in September when they have the Franfurt Motor Show and introduce the new LEON too.

Can't wait to see the new Leon Cupra R, If ther are nice, I'll probably look into getting one after the warrenty on my Cupra runs out.

Any other Cupra's out there who have not had these dreaded missfires yet???

I wonder why ppl hate Citroen :D

Saxo VTS was a little beasty car, and after 10 years they're still running. I can't feel the same about my Cupra.

I do not hate Citroen, I like a few of there cars, i just think 23k for a 200bhp hot hatch is not worth it.

Limited to 200 though so may not depreciate like a pair of soiled underpants. It seams due to the 2 on pistonheads selling for 25k they may even increase in value for a bit like a pair of soiled japanese girls underpants.

So again i say, anyone who spends 25k on a second hand citroen is retarded!!!

I had a quick look before and there is about 6-7 on Autotrader.

You might as well get the normal 1.6 THP version with 150BHP and tune that up. Its figures are very close to the Cupra's standard.

The interior on them are nice as well!

The interior of the DS3R is REALLY nice. Go by a dealer with one and have a seat in it. I know the price is high but you can see where the money has gone and I honestly would be prepared to spend it if I had the money.

thing is for the money they are on pistonheads you could just buy a cupra r leon, a new one and have a solid 2.0 TFSI

I know but as I have repeatedly said on here on the past, I was not born here so I get nailed on insurance the moment I get a bigger engined car. I therefore unfirtunately have to take many more factors into account when buying a car, if it were no issue I could have had a LCR a long time ago too but the affordability and running costs are just too high. That is why the DS3R makes that much more sense to me. Alternatively when they introduce the same 1.6T engine into the face lift ibiza I would trade up to that no problem. I can assure you the price on that with a few extras is also going to be around the 21K mark. So order a new DS3R without the sat nav and it's only 2K more which is practically nothing on repayments tbh. Hope my reasoning makes a little more sense now.

Mate not having a go, i got a few friends at work from ireland in the same position, Ones been driving for 5 years but they dont even wanna know. Its nuts.

My requirements were for a car to run around in that was cheap to run and wasnt a slouch. Speed etc doesn't bother me as i get a lot of v8s to play with from work. They also come with free petrol keys so the boca is rarely driven!
