Hi Guys

Just putting my wheels on the front with 5mm spacers and they dont clear the brembos.

now i was assured by the guy i bought the spacers off who has the same car with the same wheels that the spacers clear the brembos. (it was swoosh off here)

now the wheel when not even half tight is locked on the brembo, i think im going to have to go 10mm at the front, that will give me the problem of needing longer wheel nuts though.

the wheels are et35 bbs copies ch i think they are called. im using 20mm rear spacers.

need help asap please guys as i need to order whatever i need

cheers

If they don't fit with a 5mm spacer then you have no option but to go with a thicker spacer. If you need longer wheel bolts Badger5 sells them.

i dont mind going with bigger spacer just dont want to buy 10mm then need 15mm.

im going to try and get them on with the two 5mm spacers i have that will let me work out if 10mm will be ok.

wheel nuts are not long enough for me to test though i dont think.

with both spacers on the wheel is still scraping paint of brembos and thats without the wheel nuts all the way in.

i must need 15mm spacers...

i just dont understand how swoosh's fit with 5mm spacers....

looks like its 15mm for me which is another £60! these wheels are getting expensive lol.

10mm isnt enough mate but thanks for looking.

15mm wont stick out the arch will they?

20mm sit really nice and flush on the rear

Something doesn't add up there mate. If 15mm is too much you could always get them machined down to the thckness you need.

yeah i dunno whats going on.

et35 with 15mm makes et 50 just to cover the brembos. and its et55 on the back with the 20mm...

does all this sound right?

What CH are they BTW, i am suprised you 15mm spacers, i have genuine BBS CH 0014 ET30 19x8.5j and a 3mm spacers gets me over the brembo, could they be bad copies?

this is what im thinking jamjay...

the rim bit is blocked off after the ET, they are copies afterall but the dealer i bought them from advertised them as ET35.

i think the 15mm spacers will sort it which im not upset about as they are hubcentric and the 5mm ones i have arnt.

they will fill the arch better too.

just unhappy i have to wait more than the cash been looking forward to getting the 4 wheels on the ground for a while now.

just checked another rim and the et is not stamped, its blank.

ive heard of people running 15mm spacers all round so it cant be that uncommon im just amazed that swoosh bought the same wheels off the same person and is using 5mm spacers to clear the brembos.

theres a pic of the rear one on with 20mm spacers, i love the way it looks but im hoping for the suspension to settle as ive only just fitted the lowering springs and it looks highr than before lol.

i wanted the front to sit in more but now its only going to be by 5mm.

Alrite mate just read your thread something must be totally different with your rim ofset.I definately have 5mm on the front and 20mm on the rear.My rears sit out alot more than yours do so im thinking your rims aren't the same offfset.Mine were litterally a straight forward job sorry to hear you having issues.
