This thread is about as useless as a chocolate teapot, unless all cars were tested on the same dyno at the same time.

That is quite true, but it will still give some kind of indication. Superchips oftern result in being the most safe option with a more mild increase.

What about other mods which might allow greater power?

pd130, vt2 hybrid, FMIC, green filter, cupra intake, Exhaust = one pipe... ;)

Jabbasport: 221bhp, 360 lb/ft

What size turbo does the 160 Cupra Tdi run?

Agreed this thread ain't much use, figures from rolling road days are better (all done on the same day and same machine)

You can't choose on BHP figures because rolling roads;-
- Can be fiddled
- Have poor operators
- Are calibrated differently
- Are made by different companies to different designs, software etc

I have seen 30bhp difference between to Rolling Roads....then again it could have been the car....which is part of the problem.

DYNO's are a Lottery.

You choose on the tangible area;-
- Test Drive or Passenger Ride(perhaps another forum member at a meet)
- Customer Service - If the dealer is 300 miles away and you have a problem is that a issue for you?
- Cost
- Other Benefits - Is the code switchable back to stock? handy if it's under warranty and needs a service ;)
- Free Trial with some codes
- Size of Tuner - If R&D into their product is important
- Personal Taste (smooth delivery or with a wallop etc)

Yeah, and mine has hit 190 at the wheels at another rollers, so its hard to tell true figures, as usual. :D Going to see what interpro at Bristol makes of it next at the end of April. :)
