well moost people say that buying cheap HIDS of the bay only last for like 6 months so they usually buy two sets just incase, either way it works out cheaper than buying a 'proper' one..

bt then agen u might not even have a problem..mine are second hand had them off ibiza125 and they are fine...can pick up a set for likr 40 quid

Well I thought it about time that I updated my thread...

This year I popped my Edtion38 cherry :funk:

Here's how she looked;

In the second picture you can just see one of my suttle cosmetic mods... Sprayed the centre caps Black Magic. Masked off the 'S' and wet&dry'd, followed by primer, colour and lacquer! Not the best finish tbh, but it looks good enough from a distance :) or so everybody said
I also sprayed the boot handle 'S' black to try and blend it into the boot and give it a smoother look without removing the 'S' itself! Pictures of that to follow...

A few weeks ago, I marshalled at a Premier and Historic Rally event in Mansfield, Notts. Started at traffic control at the start of the first forest stage. Thought it a nice time to get a picture... :)

Later on in the day, I moved down the stage to marshall half way down the last forest stage, more pictures...

You can see the black 'S' in the last picture! Have been considering debadging too!

I agree, Love it without the front plate... but obviously, not the most legal of mods lol!

Looked tidy at E38!

Cheers mate :)

Nice looking C1 in the background ;)

Oh yeh! Forgot we sent the foreigner to the back of the camp!

Cheers fella! Hopefully getting coilovers myself too, got some waiting for me, just a case of monies! I have no idea what brand my spacers are, but I got them off Rash - good enough for rash = good enough for me hehe! 20mm each side made a massive difference to looks and ride... struggling for lift-off oversteer since they went on, altho I think this is linked to the Wankstone Turanza's all round!

Thanks again guys, will update again soon :)

Picture of my HIDs from Derby meet this week:

Going to get some chrome indicator bulbs in the new year, along with some smoked repeaters. Also plan to debadge the boot and paint the calipers (colour TBC) :)!
After seeing Mr_Dave's FR at the Rotherham meet today, I'm thinking maybe FR grills, but not sure... If I did, I think I would paint them black??????...

Cheers mate :)
The eibachs are good springs, for what I paid for them atleast! Decent ride, hard..ish, but I wouldn't say it was a bad thing - I'm not going to mind the ride on coilovers lol!

Fitted a SEAT Sport strut brace just before xmas too :D

Over the xmas and new year break I decided to de-badge the boot. Hairdryer and a plastic card did the trick, followed by some bug + tar remover. Really pleased with how much it changes the back-end!

Stumbled across a bargain exhaust on fleabay on friday... Brand new Magnex cat-back system, £99! Even better, the shop was less than 5miles from me :D so went and picked it up friday after college.
The only problem being.... that the system is for a 1.9tdi pd130 and therefore, the bore size of the middle section is ~55mm with a step-down to 50mm, and my current exhaust is only a 45mm! Reducer required, but to say I paid £99 for a cat-back exhaust, £30 for fitting with the reducer can't be moaned at :D

Pic's :funk:

It isn't quite sitting central in the gap but the hanger just needs adjusting!

So for all those 1.4 owners, there is an exhaust out there for you, off the shelf lol!

Loads! Can actually hear it now. Bit raspy top end when it's cold but gets louder and deeper as it warms. Once it's all coked up, it should sound the nuts :D Guess you'll just have to wait till wednesday ;)
