Big weekend for the Leon.

I took a drive over to my mates place yesterday to do some work and give the motor a well earned wash.

Started by jacking her up and ripping the standard RARB off

To be replaced with a white line model with poly bushes

Can anyone tell me weather this is on the hardest or softest setting? It's being jacked up next week when some bolts of the right length get delivered haha so I can adjust it then if I need to

Then today I got up and took her to a place just down the road with a HAWK EYE laser alignment kit and had my wheels all adjusted.

I gotta b honest I can't feel any difference haha but it must have done some good.

Then I got home and set to work on my intake.

Ripped the old box out....it's MASSIVE :O then fitted my own intake pipe and cone

Yeah I bet, I might have to look into this. You say you didn't feel much a difference though?

Some nice work there Benzy.....I enjoy these posts with continually updated progress pics. Nice 1.

What paints did you use on the engine cover and badges?

Thanks man. I like to try and do break downs with pictures as it helps people if they want to do it too.

I just used plastic primer and top coat mate. B&Q do plenty of it

Decided to take my egr valve and inlet manifold off and clean it all up today. I'm getting the egr deleted along with the dpf so I thought getting all the crap out would be a good idea.

Then made up a blanking plate out of some spare sheet ali and rebuilt it all fitting the plate to the egr pipe blanking it off. No engine management light yet but I'm sure it will b soon :)

Got myself a nearly new engine cover, but it's Skoda badged. Did you manage to get a SEAT one and where from?

So after a trip to Mansfield to go and see the guys at shark performance I was not left disappointed.

Dpf and egr delete with a stage 2 remap. Great service by the guys up there. It didn't go on the rollers, instead I went out with Ben and it was mapped on the road, a few trips down the bypass later and he estimated it was running just under 220 bhp and 450 Newton meters.

Couldn't praise them enough up there and my only regret is not getting this done earlier

Hows the map, is it smokey being stage 2?? Road mapping is always better, my tuner said even when he had his rollers he would still nearly always finalise the map on the road to perfect it

It's not too smoky, only under full throttle. I can drive casually and there's no difference to standard :) I'm really enjoying it! The noise is just immense and I love hearing it :) I'm gonna try and sort some videos out soon
