Oh well Danny another lesson learnt. Instead of running some generic map, perhaps finish the job off with a proper map.

Yup i know that mate....Saying that the logs i was doing were spot on...

Anyway ive ordered rcl race bearings,New IE 20mm Rods,Headgasket,Headbolts and new oil pump...So i should have it all running again in a week or so..

"Seems the LCR Spiked too high and caused my bent rods lol"

"around 23psi but we think it spiked and the torque went about 370ft-lb....in a few millsecs lol...

i was running 330ft-lb anyway.."

yup that is right from what ive been told this was more than likely due to the misfire i got when coming down my road..Its odd but the the boost wasnt there...MCR Audi told me that fatique point of the rods is 360ft-lb this is from some Techy there....My Boost after fitment of my maf was all over the place...

Its a stab in the dark people say fatique some say its my map...How or why im not sure..**** even MCR audi said it was hybro locked.

What happend im not sure i just want it fixed

If it ran lean would this of caused 2 bent rods?

Running lean causes detonation, this can mean the air/fuel mix ignites at the wrong point, meaning the rods are coming up when the explosion is pushing them down!

rods dont bend themselves.
very high cyl pressure caused this... and det is the highest contributor to extreme cyl pressures

When I told you to check deck heights, this is what it was looking for, and yet you did'nt find any difference, despite obvious bent rods which would have sat at different heights

so only boost/torque and fueling/det can cause bent rods?

ive for enough money for ie rods or bam Rods,pistons and new rings....what would you lot choose?

All im doing pefromance wise is stage 2 and my wot box thats it...

Ive Desided to save a little eg wait to next payday...13 days away...

So with the cash ive got ive bought the RCL Bearing,Oil Pump And IE Rods...Im tempted to put new Rings in there to freshen it up abit...Which is only £100 for the set....

Im Wondering with the car off the road can i send my ECU to awesome get a free trail on it then wen it all built back up it would be the OEM 210 map then run everythin in with the 210 map...

p.s While Everything is off should i fit my forge actuator?to make life easyer.
