BAM, AMK, AGU, ASZ, AUM, etc are all engine codes which refer to individual engines.

As the guys said above, BAM refers to the 225bhp version.

Revo is just one of the many companies that offer remaps i.e. reprogramming your car to make it faster

thanks all :) i read the BAM part on alot of leon cupra r 225 for sale adverts, and was unsure if this was a different engine to other 225's.
i suppose its because there was a cupra r with 210bhp??

the 210 1.8t engine comes in many codes , amk, apx, apy differences between the 210 engines and 225 are that internally the 225 bam engine as lower compression pistons which and also it as vvt which some tuners use as a tuning element but remapping either will give very similar gains because they run externally the same hardware , ie turbo, manifold intake etc. but on another note i've read that the ealry 210 models injectors actually flow at 350cc @ 3bar compared to 225 386cc @ 3 bar

AMK and BAM in the LCR have the same injectors, same part number, also have the same FPR, so its the same.
also the crank, rods, pistons, block and the head is the same, same part numbers. so the compression can only be the same, both the AMK and the BAM have the same VVT unit.

maybe some of what you say is correct if you have any of the other engines codes on the 210 engine in the S3, but the leon only has the AMK and the BAM, and they er much the same.
