Took the beeza in to my local garage today to have some work done.

had the cambelt done everything replaced that came in the kit.

Also had the alternator belt/ power steering belt changed.

Had a plate welded in the sill and smoothed over and primed up.

I also had a ding in the boot (just beyond the spoiler) which was beated back out.

had all this done for about £230. i was quite pleased with that. :)

what do you reckon?

I don't surpose it says how much they charged for the cambelt change on the invoice does it?

Anyway, that seems a really good price!

I know on TDI models you should change the whole kit but not sure about petrol models. Better to be safe than sorry though ;)

Wow that seems really cheap. I was quoted around £400 for a cambelt change on my Honda. Honda will charge around £500 tough!

crezz, that was parts AND labour... if i remember correctly the garage only changed the belt (dont know what 'the kit' is but the garage is excellent so if it needed changed they would have done it) and they said that the belts are about £15 - the rest of the charge is labour.
