I was looking at this pioneer headunit and was thinking would this work with the steering controls and what extras would I need before purchasing it.

Could anyone provide a link as to what accessories I would need.

Thanks

Was looking at one of these Pioneers and was told I would need the following:-

CEL-ASC2518 STALK INTERFACE SEAT QUADLOCK

CEL-AFK4058 DOUBLE DIN FITTING KIT

CEL-AAN2106 FAKRA TO MALE ANTENNA ADAPTOR

CEL-ASCPIO-A STALK ADAPTOR PIONEER

Think the parts are from CELSUS. Obviously that's for my specific model and year. Might be slightly different for yours but gives you an idea of what's needed.

Yup. Gets expensive. The final quote I had was nearly 500 quid fitted which is why I'm running the stock head-unit for a while longer.

The standard unit in mine is ok, does the job but it's nothing to write home about. Changed the stock speakers which is an improvement and will eventually get around to the head-unit when funds allow. :)

Did you keep your original tweeters connected or change every speaker throughout? And how do i check if the tweeters are in my door without taking the panel off because when I got the car, the previous owner has changed the front door speakers but I dont know what he has done with the tweeters.

Is there a way I can find out and if they are still there can I connect them to the alpine speakers? The rear speakers have been untouched and all the speakers are all there.

I left the original tweeters connected so have them running as well. Too much hassle to upgrade them. I'd imagine yours are still there but disconnected. Should be able to see if the wires have been cut or not by just removing the main speaker and seeing what wires are still there.

I used speaker connector/adaptors rather than cut anything and it also makes it very easy to return everything back to stock.

Am I screwed if he has not used them? Coz when i changed my headunit there was speaker wires running behind the stereo and i was thinking what these were there for when the speakers would have been connected to the wiring loom if you get what i mean lol

Just makes it more difficult as you'd have to work out which wires go where. With adaptors only one wire needs cutting on them to disconnect the tweeters. The car wiring can then be left intact.

yes all the bits come to £67 and steering controls work, but if you already have an mfd u wont need the adaptor from seres at £20 so only cost u £47, and i paid £287 for the unit
