Auto hold not releasing

Hello everyone...

I have an issue with my SEAT Leon 2021. Yesterday morning I was able to drive to the end of my road but then randomly was unable to move off normally ever since.

The brakes do not release itself automatically using the auto-hold function. The only way I can get the car to move off is by forcing my foot off the clutch whilst revving high to which the car jumps forward or by turning off auto-hold and pressing the brake switch every time (this does not work uphills)

I have done research and found old threads that this is a common issue especially with VW who I believe have a software update for this.

Has anyone else experienced this and what is the solution? My car is still under warranty but I have no dealers near me so it will take weeks or months to have it checked by dealers.

TIA

Never happened to me in my 2018 Leon FR bought in 2019, so 5 years ownership.

Closest has having wheel spin when needing to reverse up a very steep drive from a standstill.

My car is doing this now.

The auto hold lasts longer and if you take too long the brake applies. Normally pulling the clutch up you wouldnt even feel a hold. I have had it where handbrake bites for 1.5 seconds. Now the autohold is doing it.

I'm a driving instructor and it's frustrating teaching them to slowly lift the clutch up knowing the auto hold will release but it bites longer and then applies the brakes.

Out of interest, why would a update fix this? car hasn't been to the garage for 8 months and not had an update since before that. So nothing has changed, why would software suddenly do this?

Strangely enough the problem fixed itself after I filled up a full tank a petrol.

However, I know have an SOS error telling me visit the workshop.

I had the same issue about a year ago for a couple of days but it fixed itself.
Randomly it was a bit clunky the other day amd again seems to have had a word with itself.
It's agreat feature and I struggle now using a car without it, rolling back at lights leaving it off etc.

After coming to a stop apply the Electronic Handbrake. This will release Autohold but leave it active for the next stop. On pulling away the EHB will auto release. EHB release 'smoother' than that of AH?
