Are our accelerators restricted?

I heard the a Seat engineer once said the the accelerator is set to peak at 80% full throttle and that vag com can change this to 99% and give you a little more power???

Anyone know if this is true? Has it been done? If so where on vag com?

would that be the same as upping the rev limit? id be careful. if the tuners dont do it (unless your bt ithink) cant be healthy

no the throttle is a potentiometer and has always been set to 99/100% you can with revo and custom code, turn it down, ive tried it at 33% and itll barely idle, say around 80% and less would be dangerous on the road as pulling onto junctions etc wouldnt have the pull to accelerate away from cars travelling the same direction.
