Are DRL front indicators as standard?

Just something I've noticed, I've seen a few Leon's with the normal looking bulb type front indicators.
On my 67 plate, I've got my DRL's doing the front indicator work, is this standard or maybe the previous owner coded it in?

I’ve not owned a Leon but I think on pre-facelift Leons, some trim levels had halogen headlamps as standard, and I suspect on those cars the front indicators are a normal bulb.

The pre-facelift cars with LED headlights had DRL's but with separate halogen indicator bulb.

If you have a little orange section (where i have highlighted in blue) then you have a bulb is my understanding.

Update for future reading - No its the rear that has bulb on LED Lights, front is LED.

On your facelift (generally 2017 onwards) LED headlights the DRLs and indicator are combined.

On the PFL (up to 2016 generally) LED headlights, the indicator is a separate LED at the top of the light unit, as pictured by @tracktoy.

There is also the halogen headlight option which has a normal bulb for the indicator.

Exactly, I also assumed the little triangle indicator is a LED. The covers on the headlight have stickers with warranty void, thats why I concluded that the indicator was not serviceable (read: not a normal bulb)

I didn't even look at the rear indicators, so these are the standard ones on the face lift?

Without checking, tail lights come in 2 flavours, full normal bulb or LED/bulb mix (FL only have a bulb for the reverse light) and you have LED/bulb mix and what looks like an aftermarket LED replacement bulb in your reverse light.

Yeah the previous owner did a few little mods, led bulbs, some obd stuff like dials illuminated all the time, needle sweep etc

Ah, thanks - had always presumed the separate LED was a halogen.

@WozzaB see the difference with my units

I replaced the fog light bulb with the red "hyperflash" on the left, and the reverse light with the "hyperflash" LED on the right. The middle bulb is a single CREE LED, which is already a major improvement over standard halogen

Nice stuff, I'm still getting used to what this car has and does.
I wasn't looking at Leons, and was going for an Octavia or Superb estate, but the Superbs were a bit hard to come by in the colour and spec I wanted, and probably a touch over budget to be honest, the Octavia was a good option, but when I drove past the Leon at a car dealers all that changed 😂
