Sold mine the other month for 7.8K, 55 plate with 20K on the clock.
Prices at the moment are scary for anyone thinking of chopping in or selling :(

Private m8, trade in prices were a joke. Even mine private was at the top end of scale but the spec/condition warranted it.

charming, Pete, charming

I wasn't trying to be charming at all, but thanks for the compliment ;)

If you'd read my post you'd have realised I'm not bothered about selling privately. Every time I try to sell a car I just get test pilots. The last LCR I sold I had a guy turn up just to thrash one about that was local to save him travelling to buy one in the colour he wanted. ICBA with all that and every time I end up trading in. So this time I'll probably end up cutting out all the faff and just part ex. Hence my post. If I did want to try selling privately, it'd be in the for sale section not here. ( I leave my spamming for m0rks birthday  )

What I would try to do is go online and source all of the LCR's which are for sale from dealers. The ones which are attempting to selling them at a high-ish price I'd contact them. May not be 100% ideal for you as it seems your thinking of going for something other than a Seat (don't blame you). It's true it is hassle selling a car because of the sheer number of idiots out there, last people who came to see my mates VXR decided to just steal it instead of buying grrrr!!

If you can find private specialist dealers you may get a better deal than the mainstream con merchants.

Good luck with whatever you do!!
