Another option would be to use a Tinting film, that you'd use for windows.
You would probably get a more 'perfect' result being film (smooth too), and you could pull them off if you didn't like it/changed your mind 6 months later :)

Any film would do (ie from Halfrauds), as your tinting such a small area, compared to windows! ;)

it would nearly be impossible to keep the shape of the lights with no creases in the film. i tryed to tint my motorbike helmet visor before and it looked simple but it curves both ways like a light and it was impossible!

If you say so rashcupra... :p

OK, well there will be some tuning/styling company out there somewhere that'll soon start selling X number of different Light colours/styles for the Mk4 Ibiza... don't tell me, there already is??

Anyway, I think the STANDARD Red clusters on the (Mk4) Ibiza look great, with the chrome surrounds around the actual lights themselves..... so why cover them up :p OE all the way :D

maybe there is a few products on the market that sell diffrent colours for the rear lights but id like to see you try and tint them urself with the tinting film
jus thought id say its harder than it looks to tint them urself :fool:

I don't think the photshop pic captures the tinted image as it would appear to be honest.
The only way to see would be to test it out, but have some thinners at the ready incase it goes wrong, or you don't like it.
As for tinting film, it could probably be done, but i doubt it would be as cheap to buy as the spray, and it would be tricky to get right.
Good luck with it

Just a random thought
i remember before when i did this, you are not allowed to tint reflectors or fog guard??? is this still the case?
obviously the reflectors are not affected, but would it make a difference to the fog light??? where would you stand when it came to MOT??

didnt realise so many people were intersted in this doesnt look like anyone has done this yet then.
i didnt mention buying aftermarket lights because this is a cheaper option and i dont want to spend £130 + on aftermarket lights, did that on my old car and now iv got to sell them on. If you put laqour on after and use some thinner it works that want my friend did on his car. I wiil prob do this next year.
