I know it'll heat soak lots, I'm not denying that. I just don't think I'll be getting wasted by anything that wouldn't waste me with my current mods...

I am running a remapped K03 with the normal SMIC, boost only runs at about 15psi. I did some logs a while ago with GazJones, with an ambient temperature of 17 degrees C I saw inlet temps of 63 deg C, so with a K03s yours will have even worse heat soak. If you want to see the logs they are here, the second log shows the temperatures:

apparently I might be down a few bhp (compared to k03) once it's heatsoaked and at high revs...but the car won't be slower.

I could wait until I can afford the fmic and get it all done at once...but I want to see how it runs and I'm only losing £50 this way. If its as bad as everyone says I'll just either get the credit card out or get a laguna fmic..

by the way everyones talking the heat soak will only affect you when your driving like a *****, everyday driving wont be a problem then..............................

never the less im currently placing my order for the forge fmic as im quite partial to abit of comparative driving.

just thought I'd post an update...mapped k03s with smic is noticeably faster than mapped k03 throughout the revs. I can notice the heatsoak but it isn't too bad. although I've never been in any other k03s'd ibiza's.

My map was done quite conservatively tho...boosting 20 psi, which dies down to about 14 psi at high revs.

forge fmic is on order anyway :)

See now that is where the FMIC will have a huge efect. the boost figures you have quoted are near bang on what my mapped ko3 was running, where as a KO3s should hold the boost better with the required cooling!

my mapped k03 used to peak 19 and drop to 12. The k03s boost figs I mention are the when it's running hot.

It deff holds boost better than my k03 anyway.
