Isn't there a function to do this via vag com?

-connect to module 35
-click on soft coding
-take note of the number you find so that, in case, you can put everything back in order.
-convert the number you find from decimal to binary digits [windows calc can do it]
-starting from the right, first bit being number 0, the 0s and 1s mean if a specific function is off or on:

-bit2: one touch [all doors lock/unlock together. if on 1 the opening is differentiated]
-bit5: doors lock after 15km/h is reached [only mk4 i guess]
-bit6: windows up when remote lock is pressed
-bit10: horn chirp when alarm is put on/off

don't touch the other bits.

Now re-convert the number back in decimal base, press 07 - Recode and insert the new value. Press Do it! to save.

Now problem is that I'm not able to connect to module 35. Some say it's module 46, I don't know. But I know I'm not able to connect neither to module 46.
The autoscan function for the mk3 scans for module 35 and not for 46.
I don't know if it's my equipment that makes this connection not possible. But before installing something, I'd try this if I were you.

Bump,,,

Nobody really interested to test this procedure? I can't connect to those modules,,, I'd like to know if it's my equipment or it's just the mk3 that doesn't support them.

Do you really prefer to install an aftermarket gizmo before tryin if it can be done changing one bit in the stock electronics??

Pretty please!!

I think it's way more possible on an mk4 than an mk3,,,
You gonna try that? Remember to take note of the original number,,, so, in any case, you'll be able to put everything back to normal.

in Adaptation you have ....

05 - monitor - on
06 - Unlock - beep - off
07 - Lock - Beep - off
08 - Unlock - Blink - on
09 - Lock - Blink - on
10 - Adjustment - Alarm Horn - UK

software coding = 00064

Al, I found those instruction on the italian ibiza tuning site,,, they were for an mk4.
So, if I were you, I'd try what I've posted and see what goes on.
If nothing happens or something gets screwed, it's one second and you put 00064 back in.

What sort of prices does it cost to get this working?

Just i paid £550 for a Clifford 650 CAT 1 alarm and i've total closure, doors lock at 10mph, remote start, boot pop, headlight controller.

I needed CAT2 alarm by insurance so thought might as well go whole hulk.
