I know mine has heated mirrors, and they switch on with the heated rear window. But I also have the fold away mirrors option so I don't know if the heaters are part of that.

Thanks I was just curious as the seat website specs doesn't mention if they are heated or not.

I picked mine up on saturday and I was averaging 57mpg yesterday - its down to 48 at the moment, but I did fill up at Asda, and their fuel is probably crap, anyhow I'm well pleased. My old 1.4 mk3 could barely manage 35mpg on the motorway!

Today I did a ~300 mile trip on mainly motorways, stuck to about 60mph on cruise control too see what MPG I could get and when I got home it said 69.8mpg as the average for the trip :D

I am happy with that! The car now has about 3200 miles on the clock.

mine seems slightly better now its had its first service, do they reset the average mpg bit as it seems to give a high reading straight away now?

All depends on your driving. My mpg can vary between 40 anywhere up to 70. If im less heavy footed and follow the gear change indicator then i get excellent mpg.

I just collected my 1.6 TDI an hour ago and drove it 10 miles back to work and the trip computer showed 56MPG.

Yeh i tend to get about this on average. You can get much better mpg tho with steady driving (if you want to). I've no complaints anyway !!

I like it, the bluetooth system is excellent and the cars build quality seems to be a good step up from the previous generation. I do find the 1.6 CR TDI is quite easy to stall compared to the 1.4 TSI I had previously. With the 1.4 TSI you could pull off in 4th gear lol.

I know what you mean, it seems really solid doesn't it.

Bluetooth system is top.. although i have had some problems trying to download phonebook from my phone, by this i mean it won't (and it's only a bog standard nokia (works phone) so you'd think it would be able to do it, anyway i have had to put phonebook entries in manually, bit bab but other than that, all good.

Liking the cornering fog light function aswell.

How many miles are people getting out of a full tank?

I don't think there is any way to download the phonebook but its not such a big issue for me. My iPhone also works well with the USB lead the dealer provided. I was also impressed to find the car fitted with Goodyear Excellence tyres.

Today i've just managed to get 41 mpg out of my 1.4 sc sport petrol (town driving) it has 150 miles on the clock. Is this a good mpg for the petrol as I've just part ex from a fr tdi ?

Cheers

That's a relief - I though I had suddenly became a bad driver after getting a new car, as I was under the illusion diesels were a lot harder to stall - but clearly not the 1.6

It's a lot easier to stall than my old 1.4 mk3!
