Added the Recaro seats to the list on page one on account of the fact that at the Chesterfield meet today there was only one other LCR with them, and they were front only (sorry Rich) so I'm feeling that they should be highlighted now. J0N, you know you love them... your cambelt can wait while you get a set

Sorry J0N, getting to be a bit of a stuck record I know. (Almost) everyone's cars looked so much nicer than mine, yours included, so I have to pounce on the only thing I've got. Time to drop it now mind you; gone too far already :D

Went to el dudes yesterday to get the brakes pressure-bled. The final piece to finish off the Brembo service. And boy did it make a world of difference. It's better than I remember now, so much sharper, so much feel, SO MUCH STOPPING POWER! Awesome!

I think you will find it's because you used a Ford/Alcon specialist that they are so good now, I think the superiority of Ford has rubbed off on your brakes ;)

Just picked up J0N's strut brace, so that'll go on in the next couple of weeks when I have the time (and nerves), then hopefully rear brace and ARBs, front and rear. The next planned mod is then the engine mounts and once all that's done I think I may have to look at more power :D As much as I loved destroying the Mk8 Civic Type R the other day, I think it could've been a bit more convincing :D

Oh, and at some point I'm going to get the car cosmetically sorted. I have new wheel centre caps on order from Sere, got brand new wheel-bolt caps and new R logos (still waiting on the correct Cupra logo mind you) so will get the paintwork sorted and the wheels refurbed.

Nah, engine mounts cost just over £100 IIRC because THS do us a discount (if you ask for it), knocking the price down massively. TBH I keep meaning to buy some so that I've got them around, in case they revoke the discount. It's something ludicrous like 40% off.

As for the ARBs, I don't know how much they'll be, but I need to sort the handling out. Coming home from picking up J0N's brace on Friday I understeered like crazy coming off of an island on to a dual carriageway. To be fair, I was being a bit over ambitious, but I had to back off, which had the back end come round on me, so I had to get back on the power to correct it. Was fun, but I'd rather it only did that when I want it to. So hopefully getting the front and rear braced and the ARBs sorted I won't suffer this understeer quite as often as I do now. Then I'll be more comfortable putting more power in it :D

As for pictures, it's just a standard S3 brace (right J0N?). Loads of pics around

ah interesting i will add all that to my wish list then :) shame the mounts are not cheaper!

yeah be nice if you can get the handling sorted out sounds like a bit of brown pants moment indeed, nice to have it all planted, i suppose the best way is to lower it but i know how impractical the car is being at standard height lol the ARB will deffo make a difference

im still taking it very steady in mine till the cambelt is sorted! not tempting fate lol

Don't blame you. No way I'll have this lowered; it scrapes all over the place as it is and I'm not going the long way around in city-centre traffic just so my car can be lowered.
