Looks like they fitted the 19mm ARB and associated bushes, bolts and nuts. And the front wishbone bushes are the same as those fitted to the Cupra.

Your comment "And the front wishbone bushes are the same as those fitted to the Cupra"
I don't think so, the Cupra bushes start with 6LL all other start with 6Q0. The "6Q0" bushes were used in this warranty work - as they should have - although the "6LL" ones do the job better but were not intended for use in non-Cupra cars.

Well the same as fitted to the petrol Cupra anyway (according to ETKA). Looks like the diesel ones are 6LL, which seems strange.

Strange, I'll need to have a look at my ETOS - it should be the same information. You/we are talking about the TCA rear bushes here?

apparently these are relatively the same as the cupra bushes...which may be the case if the latter cupra's have these installed

Surely Seat didn't make 3 types of bushes what would be the point if they knew the old ones were prone to early failure they would just make the bushes with the metal in to save costs.

I've a hunch that as the latest Golf uses a four web'd bush element (but built into an aluminium housing), maybe VAG has finally given up on the original two web 6Q0 bush.

So I wonder how long these four web ones will last? The smart money is still on the 6LL Cupra variant though - fit and forget, and enjoy the new improved (sharper) steering feel.

So, is someone going to go crawling under some new cars this weekend - that might be a bit cruel though as the sales folk will go and book their summer holidays - but hey hoy!

Trying to understand all this...lol

Ok have been reading all this with some interest as my 06 FR is knocking both front and rear when i hit speed bumps or a big pot hole. Crawled under to look at ARB , drop links and bushes and noticed the rear TCA bushes have splits in the top egdes on both sides. These ones have 2 webs (one top one bottom ) . So are the cupra ones solid ? do they fit straight on an FR ? i figure they do from whats been said. And is the rear end knocking for a similar reason ? The car has about 4 months of warrenty left. so i am getting fussey an trying to get as much done as i can. Its already waiting for a door seal.

The bush highlighted in this pic shows as 6LL 407 183 for both revisions of the PD Cupra engines (BUK and BPX) and 6Q0 407 183 A for other engines including the 20VT Cupra. It seems strange that they would be different between the 2 Cupras so maybe an ETKA ****-up or something.
