Android auto/full link problems

Hi all

Owned my 2017 Leon estate FR for around 5 months and absolutely love the car.

In recent weeks I brought the Samsung s22 and since then my full link doesn't seem to connect to my phone. I have tried the official wire as I was using an aftermarket one but still no luck!

Does anybody have any suggestions? I am wondering if the in car system needs updating or something?

Thanks in advance!

Same thing here. Gone from a VERY stable Xiaomi M11 Ultra to a VERY sensitive S22 Ultra. Same cables with both phones but also tried others as well. I also updated the MIB firmware to the latest one but connectivity remains very very sensitive. I may hit a pothole and lose connection for example.

I think it has to do with Samsung's AA integration or Android's 12 in general. I've read many complaints lately about AA.

Yeah it's weird, I had the odd time with my S10 where it wouldn't connect but always seemed to work the next time I was in the car etc.

I too have read about the AA issues and watched several videos in an attempt too fix but nothing seems to have worked as of yet!

Can you update the media system yourself or is a take it to the dealer job?

Have you had much luck with this?
Having major issues with my partner's pixel 6 constantly disconnecting tried every cable possible even a 10gbs one off amazon and no luck! I have a Mk7 golf and it seems to work in that during a hour trip kept connected 🤔

Hi mate,

No joy as of yet! Admittedly I haven't tried for a few weeks now as I had give up with it after trying for a few days in a row. Will try again later and let you know. I have googled a few times to find a solution but nothing has worked yet so I'm stumped. The only thing I can think of is my car system needs updating as I have an S22 now, whereas my S10 I had a few months back worked with it fine so wondering if that's the issue 🤷‍♂️

My P30pro randomly disconnected after a period of being connected and I noticed it was when the phone was hitting full charge.

Bit of digging around there seems to be a bug in android that meant when the phone hit full charge it briefly disconnected the usb data stream. Looks like according to the forums it still isn't resolved all to do with stupid battery optimisation stuff which possibly your old phone may not really have had

Google support thread

on my p30 pro I had an option for smart battery capacity, which basically stopped charging when it got to 90% or something, ever since then I don't think I have had the issue. Though with fuel prices I am not exactly driving long distances at the moment so it might well have just not hit 100% charge.

Might not be the issue but worth looking to see if you get it with a half dead battery on your phone

Tried all sorts so far was going to get the system updated at seat but a mate said it cost over £100 for a diagnosis etc.
Interesting I have a pixel 4a5g and doesn't seem to disconnect as much but has a few times.
Have opted for AA Wireless dongle and it's been flawless since even connects much faster so if anyone is as frustrated as we was they are available for about £80 and totally recommend

Have you got a link for the dongle you purchased, please?
