Quick question as you seem to be in the know. I have a 59 plate leon Fr 170. Do I have the PD engine type or the other one that i've forgotton the name of?

Cheers.

Cheers for that.
If I go for a re-map is it better to get one done once the dpf has been binned or will it run ok with it in? I'm looking at http://www.angeltuning.co.uk/ to get it done.

Sweet looking car btw :)

The CR engine burns a lot cleaner than the PD unit. THe gains from DPF delete on the CR are minimal compared to the PD unit. Most CR 2.0 tdi 170 units remap to 210bhp with just a remap. PD units had a lot of issues going over the 200 bhp mark with the DPF installed due to the poor design and restriction.
I would just get a remap mate, and save your pennies, but completly up to you :)

So im driving back from MK Central today and all of a sudden car felt funny, then i realised it had no Boost, no lights or anything though, after about 5 mins i get some warning lights and engine felt dead. went home an reset the warning codes and it started boosting to 5psi but nothing more and then back into limp mode.

i drive the car to parents 2 hours down motorway with like 5psi boost and noticed the car stunk of diesel, drove with the window open, i had noticed about a week ago the EGR Outlet pipe i blocked up when i did EGR Delete was rattling.

CupraMVR and me had a look tonight and turns out the EGR Outlet pipe had snapped clean in half throwing into limp mode and filling car full of fumes. we removed it and blocked it at the other end now so no more EGR Outlet pipe

So here's the EGR Delete without the Return pipe now, looks cleaner

Gear changes feel even more solid and connected now, these do need modification to work with the Forge shifters though

And some number on the way to Awesome GTI

to achieve that i just changed gears under 3k and didn’t use as much Turbo, i still wasn’t going slow

There's an electric connector going to the EGR though.....so you're saying if I disconnected the EGR, there should be a vacuum pipe and no electrics? So I could block it up without an EML if I blocked the vacuum pipe???

What do you have to do to remove the pipe you took off? Looks SO much tidier now!

i was under the impression the PD140 was just vacuum but maybe im wrong!

My mate basically removed Boost pipes, airbox etc from down that side of engine, then reached right down back of engine and undid the pipe, because it was snapped it came out easy!

You will have to snap it to get it out, its tangled up in all sorts of wires and pipes
