never seen so much interest in some LEDs and 12v feeds before.

Perhaps its beacuse the Irish lady got involved. Which im glad she did - seems like a very good 12v feed hunter.

I'll probe around the door pressure switch with a voltmeter at some point. I'm thinking though if i pulled the feed from there then the voltage will either be on or off as its a simple switch, so I wont get that dimming (lowering voltage) effect from the light in the roof.

Only time will tell...

Those pics by the way, nice. But get a better camera phone lol

lol

why dont you get a couple of new intererior lights (dimmer ones) from the steelers or a scrappy and fit them under the dash, then wire up the same way as the one in the roof.

I did this a couple of weeks ago.
Just removed interior light and soldered a + and - off that, ran through roof lining and down pillar to centre console and then installed a little red LED on each side, looks good, not bright at all and very subtle. And it dims with the interior light ;)
I wanted red so it matched the dials etc, and it looks mmmm good.
I might put another one in each side just to make it a little brighter but thats easy now as the wires are already there :D

Took maybe 1hour to do in total, got my LED's from halfords, 4 for a £5 with nice long wires on. And just used a bit of speaker wire to get to the centre console as its paired and nice and thin.

On previous cars when i thought it looked good  i had loads of lights wired in the same way and im sure i wont burn anything out with a couple of tiny LED's

Running the wires:
I just tucked them in behind the pillar on the windscreen side then down the door rubber into the footwell and across under the glovebox. I used to fit hands free kits and this is how we ran mic wires.
It is completely hidden, cant get snagged or caught on anything and i didnt have to remove any part of the interior other than the light to fit them :funk:

Just noticed this is the mk3 ibiza bit and mines a mk4 :D will work just the same though ;)

did say pics were pants, i did wire mine into the door switch to start with, but if you want the interior light on with the doors shut, the foot lighting wouldnt come on, so did it via the interior light :D

took the pillars off, and did it properly when i did mine, but if your feeling lazy can just tuck it behind them
