Ambient Lighting Retrofit

Hello everyone,

My approach is to install full ambient lighting in my 2020 Seat lbiza.

I have already installed footwell lighting and coded an Ambient Lighting menu in the infotainment system, dividing it into three zones with color-changing and dimming functions.
You can see pictures of the menu and footwell lighting in my car:

My next step is to install lighting in the center console above the phone storage. I found a part on eBay, and you can see the picture or check the link here

My question is: Does anyone know where this red connector goes? Maybe the cable is already in place and just needs to be connected. If there is no cable, is it wired directly to the BCM? If so, does anyone know the correct PIN, such as the footwell BCM pin is C72?

Ambient Lighting

Hello @Youssef95 and everyone who are interested for this

I managed to install on my 2020 Seat Ibiza:
  • Footwell Lights
  • Central Console Light
Only left:
  • Door lights
Footwell Lights:
You can buy Footwell Lights kit on this link and you will need probably plastic adapters for front seats like me on this link see pictures below:

Center Console Light:
You can buy Central Console Light on this link part number is 6F0857234A, wire plug on this link and you will need someone to make for you wires or you can make yourself see pictures below:

Connecting to the BCM connector C:
Pin 72 is for Footwell Lights
Pin 71 is for Central Console Light

You can watch YouTube video from mr-fix on this link he have 3 parts, he explained it very well. He showed how he connected the Footwell Lights but the same procedure is for the Central Console Light

I didn't have a chance to show you how to assemble it all, but I think you will manage. You can watch the mr-fix videos on YouTube for Volkswagen, it's similar.

Thanks

Hello @Youssef95

For the Footwell Lights, I used a telescopic magnet stick from Lidl to pass the cable to the other side. It looks like this:

I tied the end of the cable to the tip of the magnetic stick and pulled it all the way behind the gas pedal to the passenger side.

It's a bit tricky to do, but I managed with the help of a friend who was waiting for the end of the cable on the passenger side. I wish you luck.

For Central Console Light you need to remove passenger side panel

then these three parts

And Central Console Light is here

You can check out this guy on YouTube, he disassembled the entire Seat Arona in this video. All the parts are the same for the Ibiza as well. Good luck! I hope I helped.
