Hi all, sorry for bringing up this subject again. I did a forum search and couldn't find a definitive answer on this particular car, although I found some useful information on spaceship acceleration
I took ownership of the car in the title at the weekend
factory standard AFAIK. It has 59k miles on the clock.
The book says 0-60 mph arrives in 9.8 seconds but I'm convinced it's a tad quicker than this. I haven't had a chance to put a stop watch to it yet as I've had SWMBO in the passenger seat making screeching noises when the speedo moves too fast.
Has anyone clocked the actual 0-60 time? It doesn't need to be millisecond accurate using expensive equipment, just a kind of general idea to the quarter second would be good.
I intend to give it a blast at the weekend and time it. How should I expect to get the best time... Auto/Sport/Manual? Also, left foot brake and holding the throttle on a bit or just release the brake then jump on the throttle? Or handbrake?
I have to say I'm mightily impressed with the power delivery and the dual clutch gearbox is WAY better than any other auto I've ever driven![Cool [B)] [B)]](/forums/styles/seatcupra/oldforumsmileys/shades.gif)
