I have been experiencing a persistent issue with my car alarm since February 20th. My vehicle is a 24-plate, which I’ve only had since January, with just 2,000 miles on the clock.
The issue began with the alarm randomly going off, and I was unable to deactivate it using either key—though the engine would still start. The alarm eventually stopped after about five minutes. That night, it triggered again, but this time without the siren—only the lights were flashing.
The same thing happened the following day, and I was still unable to switch it off. Unfortunately, my dealer couldn’t schedule me in until March 19th. In the meantime, I managed to read and clear some error codes, which temporarily resolved the issue for a couple of days. However, the alarm then started activating multiple times a day (again, without the siren) until Saturday, when it began going off every hour.
By Monday, the siren was sounding again, and strangely, I was still able to drive the car. To avoid disturbing my neighbors, I parked away from residential areas. I also noticed that the red LED on the passenger door remained solid for about 30 seconds before switching to a flashing pattern. After about an hour, I was finally able to set the alarm properly.
Cupra Assist visited last night and reset everything, but just two hours later, the alarm activated again, and I was once again unable to turn it off. After another hour of scanning and troubleshooting, the alarm eventually stopped, but the red LED warning light on the door remained illuminated.
One thing I would add when the alarm was triggered it would switch off after 5 minutes now it just carries on CCTV showed the car was flashing for 30 minutes before the siren started , all my alerts on the app say say activity outside of you vechicle
Has anyone else had this problem?
