Hello, I own a Mk 4 Seat Leon FR 150 2021 and have only owned it a few months. The other night my alarm was triggered and after each cycle, it immediately triggered again. This happened about 5 times before I stopped it using the key fob then re-locked it and it’s been fine since. I did not even think it was my alarm at first because when I looked outside at my car, although the alarm was clearly going off, the indicators were not flashing so I assumed it was someone else’s car. Only after it not stopping (1-30am) did I go outside to check and realised it was mine. I checked it since and set it off on purpose by leaning in through the open window, and it triggers the alarm with the lights flashing. No more false alarms since. Has anyone experienced the alarm repeatedly going off but without any flashing indicators, and if so do you know why and what cased it? Thank you.

Don’t know why the indicators didn’t flash, but there’s been a few instances over the years reported on various forums of car alarms being triggered by insects (spiders or moths seem to be the usual culprits) trapped in the car - usually at this time of year - and their movement being picked up by the alarm’s internal sensors.

Yeah, good shout, hoping maybe it was a spider and not something more serious! Or maybe it was just having a funny 5 minutes! 🤔
