Airbag slip ring £95

Take the slip ring out and clean the contacts + inside the slip ring first, i had the same problem when i first got my cupra and a good clean done the trick but you will have to clear the error code with vagcom afterwards if i remember correct

Hello, I know it's been a while since you wrote this but today I took off my slip ring when I fitted a cruise control kit but I moved the ring and dont know if I'm 360 out or worse even more out, just wondering are there just contatcs and tracks inside it or worse wires so it can be turned to far so can snap if you catch my drift!?

make sure wheels point forwards before you start.

take off steering wheel. take of slip ring.

turn it fully either way untill it stops. then count how many revolutions untill its stop when turning the other way. then half the number of revs. and turn it back that many times so its now in the middle.

refit to car with steering wheel. DONE!!

Many thanx for that, luckly I had done it correctly in the first place otherwise I def would of broken the wiring as only just does over 2 turns each way so even 360 out would of been enough to snap on full lock!
