hi guys,
I'm trying to find a replacement for the connecting pipe/air intake hose that sits between the MAF sensor and Throttle Body. The port to the crankcase breather is broken and letting in exhaust fumes into the car (as well as affecting running).

The part number on the back side 1J0 129 684 AL and it's a 2001 Leon 1.8 20V (non turbo)

Trouble I'm finding is that I can only seem to find part for the 1.6 Seat Leon...anyone know if they are interchangeable or is the 1.6 version too short ? Note on the one fitted to mine, there's a rigid pipe coming off nr on the MAF sensor side that curves beneath the hose but doesn't lead anywhere (it's pre-moulded terminated)...so is unneeded by the looks of it.

any help much appreciated...I don't want to fork out 90 quid for a genuine VW one !

Ant.

these are the ones I've found on ebay that are for 1.6 engines and don't have the useless pipe attachment...

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for you mate.

Just done an intensive Google and eBay search and, like you, I cannot find anything with that part number listing online in this country! eBay only turns up with the 1.6 variation but none of the descriptions mention anything about it fitting onto any 1.8 Leon variations.

Is the £90 the price from a SEAT Stealer?

Also, have you tried searching for somebody breaking your engined Leon? A second hand genuine part will do the job and parts like that don't usually crack or get damaged very easily at all.

If You message a company called MTC Motorsport he may have them available off the shelf, if not then will be able to sort you one with dimensions required, he's helped me out in past with a few previous parts
