hi,

with the emerald/dta will it completly replace the standard ecu or will it be a kind of piggy back with the standard one controlling some functions?

DTA replaces it, as would Emerald.
Mines 2 x ecus for the dbw support, plus X-Dash.

i'm only asking as my ecu could be faulty and wondered if it would be worth while putting a standalone ecu in, in prep for going IHI in the future, now to save costs in the long run.

Bill you say "Mines 2 x ecus for the dbw support, plus X-Dash." does this mean your runnig 2 ecu's, one for engine and one for the dash?

I think you will get a lot more joy from the DTA this year Bill - be interesting to see how the DBW works out .
Emerald K3 for us on the Turnpike TT, they've done a lot of new features on the K3 version, most aiming at turbo applications. It's looking good at the moment, and lots more to come. We've done without the DBW for simplicity, not willing to fork out for Motec :) lol
